For four years, I waited for assistance, and when it seemed like things were finally moving forward, a lady named Stefan or Stephanie started contacting me monthly. I provided her with all my details, and she assured me she had everything needed. But when I went to court, my lawyer had nothing. I had to scramble to gather all the necessary documents and do all the legwork myself. It was embarrassing because the lady kept claiming she was handling everything, but she clearly wasn’t. This wasn’t just an insult to me but also to my lawyer, who was otherwise fantastic. My lawyer was excellent, but the person responsible for collecting information was not doing her job.
