DO NOT GO HERE! There is something seriously shady happening here. They completely botched my return and cheated me out of $700. I’m a single mom with a disabled son, and I desperately needed my refund this year. With Jackson Hewitt’s promise of a Max Refund, I thought having a professional handle my taxes would be a wise choice. I was entirely wrong to trust these people. If you want your taxes done correctly by trustworthy individuals, avoid this place at all costs.

Tammi was fantastic when I first visited as a new customer; she was friendly and helped me out swiftly. However, today I called back because I received a letter from the IRS regarding identity verification. I needed form 1040 for verification but didn’t have it, so I called to see if it could be emailed. Not only was the lady who answered the phone rude, but Tammi also refused to take my call and yelled at her employee, telling her that she would call me back or mail it to me. This is completely unfair since she forgot to give me the form, not that I lost it. Her behavior was very rude and borderline disrespectful to both me and her employee. I will not be returning next year!
-1000 Stars, I visited the Jackson Hewitt White Bear location and was absolutely shocked… I had my return done with Tami and since I’m self-employed with a 1099, how is it acceptable for a tax preparer to charge me $803 in fees and another $1000 as a tip for herself????? I’ve never been charged anywhere near this amount for my taxes. I will be filing a complaint; the office was crowded with people, and I overheard her tell the client before me the same thing. This is an atrocious business practice. Jackson Hewitt, your days are numbered… I had to edit my post because I couldn’t respond to Jackson Hewitt’s reply. Thanks for providing the complaint number, I am furious about the service I received, and this White Bear location has been doing this for years. The manager was present that day, so she’s aware that her preparers are charging for doing taxes. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re splitting the money. My lawyer will be in touch!!!!! This stops now, and Tami and your Manager need to be fired!!!!!
